Reporting Overview

The disposal itself is rarely what fails an audit — the record of it is. Serial-level capture, disposition tracking, and executive summaries give IT, compliance, finance, and sustainability teams a single source of truth instead of four partial views that disagree. Every asset collected is recorded with its identity, the route it took, the evidence produced, and the value recovered, so any question about a specific device has a documented answer years later rather than a best recollection.

Data Fields Captured

Asset Identity

Make, model, serial number, and asset tag where present.

Disposition Route

Reuse, resale, recycle, or destroy — recorded per asset.

Certificate Reference

Linked destruction or erasure evidence for data-bearing items.

Financial Summary

Buyback values and recovery totals reconciled to the inventory.

Reconciliation Against Your Records

Reporting is only useful if it lines up with the asset register you already keep. Collection counts are reconciled against the inventory captured at your site, and asset tags are recorded alongside serial numbers so items can be matched back to your CMDB or finance fixed-asset register without manual detective work. Where a discrepancy appears — an asset on your list that never arrived, or an untagged device that did — it is flagged and investigated rather than silently reconciled away. Those gaps are exactly what an auditor looks for.

Settlement statements reconciled to the collection inventory.

Sustainability

Reuse rates, diversion weights, and CO₂e estimates for ESG disclosure.

Client Portal Access

Project reports and certificates are available through the Reuse Connect client portal, so evidence stays retrievable long after the project team has moved on. Reports can also be exported in standard formats for your own document management, GRC platform, or asset register — the portal is a convenience, not a dependency, and you are never locked out of your own evidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can reports be exported?
Yes. Executive summaries and detailed asset registers are available in standard formats suitable for import into asset management, GRC, or finance systems, as well as through the Reuse Connect portal.
How long are records retained?
Project evidence remains available through the client portal well beyond project close, which matters because audit questions usually arrive long after the disposal. Retention requirements specific to your sector can be agreed at scoping.
Will reports match our internal asset register?
That is the intent. We capture asset tags alongside serial numbers so items reconcile against your CMDB or fixed-asset register. Any discrepancy between your list and what arrives is flagged and investigated rather than adjusted quietly.
What if an asset on our list never arrives?
It is reported as a discrepancy and investigated. An honest gap in the record is far more defensible than a reconciled total that quietly conceals a missing data-bearing device.
Do reports cover recycled assets too?
Yes. Every collected asset appears with its disposition route regardless of outcome, including items that were recycled rather than resold, and data-bearing assets carry certificate evidence either way.
