Secondary to Core ITAD
Networking buyback and supply supports our core ITAD positioning rather than leading it. Reuse Technology Group began in the secondary network hardware market and retained the capability because it genuinely helps clients — a network refresh produces retired switches and routers that hold real residual value, and the same project often needs a replacement part that is no longer sold new. Both sit naturally inside secure lifecycle management. What we do not do is run this as a reseller-first business with disposal bolted on afterwards.

Network Devices Hold Data Too
Switches, routers, and firewalls are routinely treated as though they carry no data, which is wrong in a way that matters. Configuration files contain internal addressing schemes, VLAN structures, routing topology, ACLs, VPN endpoints, SNMP community strings, and often credentials or their hashes — a detailed map of your network handed to whoever buys the device next. Every unit entering our process has its configuration and stored credentials wiped and verified before testing, and this happens whether the device is destined for resale or recycling.
Supporting a Network Refresh
Refresh projects generate two opposite needs at the same time: getting rid of the outgoing estate and keeping it running until the new kit is live. Buyback values the outgoing equipment while it still has market value rather than after it has sat in a store room, and access to tested secondary hardware covers the gap when an end-of-sale part fails before migration completes. Equipment is tested and graded before it goes anywhere, so what you receive back is a condition assessment rather than a promise.
